PBS has recently started a 4 week special titled "Black In Latin America" We actually posted the teaser last year. The series is long over due and very informative. As the son of Afro-Honduran immigrants, I am really excited to see a series like this come to fruition. Bellow are the first two chapters of the series. Enjoy.

Floyd Don't Want It W/Pacman

I came across this photo on Allhiphop this morning and had to re-post it. As an avid boxing fan and form amateur fighter, I gotta say that Pacman is the truth. He is the only fighter I have seen go up in weight and still maintain his punching power and speed. Manny has already greed to do drug tests before, during, and after the fight; so the only hold up is Floyd. Hopefully the fight will happen sooner than later.

Salva Vida

So in case you didn't know, IntlStro and myself are of Honduran ancestry. There are three major beers in Honduras, but our beer of choice is Salva Vida. In the years since our family has come to the D/FW area, we have never been able to find our native lager. Recently I stumbled into Mr. G's. Not only did they carry Salva Vida, but they also carried Port Royal. Lets just say the kid was happy.

A few weeks back, Intl Stro and I got to attend Add+'s "When Pigs Fly" album release party. It was quite a fun affair. I was impressed with the breadth of people in attendance. Thugs, hipsters, and straight up hip hop heads. These kids definitely got next. If you have not copped the album already, you need to get on it. The homie Picnic did his thing on the production tip. My man Sober also has a track on the album that is butter. Here are some shots from the party.

WizKhalifa and Sway premiere J.Rhodes video UBER on MTV Rap Fix

Last week, the homie J. Rhodes had the teaser for his "Uber" video featured on MTV's RapFix. Rhodes also flew out this past weekend to compete in 9th Wonder's Beat Battle. Although he did not win, all the competitors will be featured on a compilation, so he is still winning. The kid is definitely making moves and the Calidad Ent fam is happy for his success.
