"Jumper Cables" is the latest single to be released by A.Dd+ Picnic holds down the boards as always and he blacks out on this track. If you have read my previous reviews of other songs, then you know that I am a drum fiend and Picnic comes through on that end with the strings to compliment the beat knock too. The homie Sober holds down the cuts; while Paris, Slim & Tunk represent D Town with the bars. Other media have compared A.Dd+ to Outkast and I have to agree with the comparison. These young brothers paint pictures with their bars. This is tune is officially one my Summer 2011 anthems. Shout out to their manager Rosalinda.

This song takes me back to my youth. Been in a salsa mood as of late. The track makes me remember meeting up with family at my grandparents spot on 177th and GrandConcourse in the Bronx.

The opening guitar rip sets the tone for the track as the beats and rhymes take you on a journey. Happy to see all the hard work that the new generation of young artists are putting into there craft. Too often, people knock them or pass them over as immature or irrelevant, but the youth got something to say.

Our bredren Cokni O'Dire has moved his "Decent Something" ustream show from Sunday's to Thursday's (5 pm - 7 pm CST). Cokni plays the best in roots, reggae, culture, dancehall and soca. KillaByte - "Unreal" ft. Timmy Dixon (Official Video)

I recently connected with the kid KillaByte, a young M.C. out of Ft. Worth who just released the video for his new single, "Unreal" featuring Timmy Dixon. The tune is definitely on a party vibe. KillaByte's delivery is on point and Timmy Dixon holds down the vocals on the hook.

Having studied film in undergrad at UT Austin, I was pretty impressed with the narrative arc and shooting techniques executed with this video. The house party scenes took me back to my high school/college days of DJ'n parties. Yeah, yeah, I'm showing my age a little. Definitely be on the lookout for more things to come from KillaByte.

"The Calling" Vol. 2

I am pleased to announce that I recently established a working relationship with J.Quest out of Ft. Worth, TX. We featured his "Kool-Aid" video on the blog a few months ago. If you have not already, be sure and check out his "Rehab Is For Quitters" album. The production is clean and the lyrical content stays true to J.Quest's form.

Our first performance will take place on June 17, 2011 at "The Calling Vol : 2" at Giley's in Dallas, TX. The show will feature a whole list of Dallas/Fort Worth area hip hop artist's. I am really excited and looking forward to this show.

Floyd Don't Want It W/Pacman

I came across this photo on Allhiphop this morning and had to re-post it. As an avid boxing fan and form amateur fighter, I gotta say that Pacman is the truth. He is the only fighter I have seen go up in weight and still maintain his punching power and speed. Manny has already greed to do drug tests before, during, and after the fight; so the only hold up is Floyd. Hopefully the fight will happen sooner than later.

Salva Vida

So in case you didn't know, IntlStro and myself are of Honduran ancestry. There are three major beers in Honduras, but our beer of choice is Salva Vida. In the years since our family has come to the D/FW area, we have never been able to find our native lager. Recently I stumbled into Mr. G's. Not only did they carry Salva Vida, but they also carried Port Royal. Lets just say the kid was happy.
