A night of giving back to the community that gave to him on behalf of the late Chad "Pimp C" Butler. Bun B, Too Short, The Underdawgs ,Trae The Truth , Dorrough,The Grip Boys, Jackie-O and many more TBA to appear in support of their friend and community. CCR and UGQ will be organizing free clinic booths to conduct testing and vaccinations for attendees, and free BBQ will be provided as well!

There will be a $1,000 talent show showcase, winner will get there own video shoot, a distribution deal somewhere in the mix, live art, scholarships so be sure to make it and show your support!!

Mixer With A Cause

On October 12, 2009 - A founding Member of Calidad Entertainment, Inyang Castro(Castro/Stro) suffered multiple blood clots in his lungs, heart, and brain.
This led to a stroke and he had to spend over a month in the hospital.

For this reason we will also be focusing on blood clot, diabetes and healthy living awareness.

We will have a great raffle with the proceeds going to help Castro out with day to day bills while he has been unable to work and continues to recover.

Research shows that hungry children have poorer mental health and overall health, miss more days of school, suffer greater rates of behavioral disorders and are less prepared to learn when they are in school. One of the North Texas Food Bank's End Childhood Hunger Opportunities (ECHO) is Food 4 Kids. Food 4 Kids supplies participating schools with nutritious, kid-friendly, self-serve food designed to fill a backpack and feed a child over the weekend during the school year. Children identified by school personnel as being at risk of hungry receive approximately four pounds of food in their backpacks each Friday. On Monday, children return the empty backpacks, and they are refilled for the next Friday. We plan to distribute Food 4 Kids backpacks, and they are refilled for the next Friday. We plan to distribute Food 4 Kids backpacks to 4,500 children in 180 schools.We are seeking peanut butter donations because it is a valuable protein, nutritious and kids love it! The peanut butter will be included in the backpacks of the Food 4 Kids program.

Its fun and easy and will benefit kids in the Food 4 Kids program. Imagine this - the peanut butter you donate will go home in the backpack of a child in need.

Please bring 18 oz or smaller plastic jars of peanut butter (that do not require refrigeration after opening).

Halloween w/Nick Nack & AV in Austin

AV will be playing alongside Nick Nack for a Halloween party in Austin this year. You can RSVP here. Nick Nack has been a staple in the Texas music scene since the early 90's. He has released various mixtapes, 12" singles, and albums. Nick Nack mentored AV in the dj/music game during AV's 4 years at UT Austin. This will be their first time playing together since their Thursday Night Uprock weekly which they used to do at Texture in Austin back in 2002.

This event will be free. It is a dance party and costumes are encouraged. We will be screening horror films on the HD projector. The dance party goes from 11 pm - 2 am. The playlist will range from hip-hop, bmore, electro, reggae, & latin. The vibe will be soulful and you should come prepared to let your hair down and get loose.

Prior to the party we will be hosting a Cut Up. All turntablist are encouraged to show up. We will have 4 tables, 2 mixers, and a looper set up for all the scratch heads. Bring your vinyl and needles. The Cut Up will go from 9 pm - 11 pm.
